Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING OR PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES AT JUNCTION FARM. Junction Farm is a working recreational and educational farm that offers visitors opportunities to interact with animals, explore natural outdoor environments, and participate in recreational, agricultural, and educational activities. By entering Junction Farm or participating in any activities offered on the property, I acknowledge and understand that visiting a farm and participating in outdoor recreational activities involves inherent risks, including risks that cannot be completely eliminated even when reasonable safety precautions are taken.
Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks: I understand and acknowledge that risks associated with visiting Junction Farm may include, but are not limited to: Farm Animals: Bites, scratches, kicks, stepping injuries, allergic reactions, unpredictable animal behavior, and potential exposure to bacteria, parasites, or diseases associated with animals. Natural Terrain and Outdoor Conditions: Uneven ground, holes, rocks, mud, slippery surfaces, tree roots, fallen branches, insects, wildlife, and changing weather conditions. Water Features: Ponds, lakes, and other bodies of water that may present risks of slipping, falling, injury, drowning, or exposure to naturally occurring microorganisms.Recreational Activities: Risks associated with playground equipment, outdoor games, farm-related activities, hayrides, wagon rides, fishing, kayaking, archery, and other recreational experiences, when offered. Agricultural Equipment and Structures: Potential hazards associated with fences, gates, barns, tools, farm machinery, and other structures or equipment found on a working farm. Environmental Exposure: Exposure to sunlight, heat, cold, insects, plants, allergens, and other naturally occurring outdoor conditions. I understand that this list is not exhaustive and that additional risks, both known and unknown, may exist. Responsibility for Children and Minors. I understand that children must be appropriately supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or designated responsible adult unless participating in a specifically supervised program operated by Junction Farm. I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring that children under my supervision follow all posted rules, safety instructions, and directions provided by Junction Farm staff. I understand that animals, water features, equipment, and other areas of the farm may present additional risks to children. Compliance with Farm Rules. I agree to follow all posted signs, safety policies, and instructions provided by Junction Farm staff. I understand that certain areas of the property may be restricted and that participation in certain activities may require additional safety instructions, protective equipment, or separate authorization. I agree not to enter restricted areas, approach animals without permission, or engage in activities that could endanger myself or others. Acknowledgment and Agreement: By signing below or electronically acknowledging this policy, I confirm that: I have read and understand this Assumption of Risk policy. I understand that visiting a working farm and participating in outdoor recreational activities involves inherent risks. I voluntarily accept and assume those inherent risks. I agree to follow Junction Farm's established safety rules and instructions. I understand that this acknowledgment does not waive rights or claims that cannot lawfully be waived.*
